Basement Roots
Spent my evening tonight digging up my basement floor to get rid of pesky tree roots. Our home is 106 years old and such a beauty. However we have two amazing trees in the front of the house which, naturally, have roots. So it was time to fix the problem. A good home inspector will make buyers aware of potential root problems. Ours did but – we loved the home and decided eventually we would take care of the problem on our own.
The many joys of home ownership! But – I love it!

Awhile back, when my fiends Stacey & Hoby Hanna got me connected with this great guy, Michael W. Cowden, little did I know I was beginning a great new chapter of my life. Guitar Donation
Natalie and I had a fantastic time at our Howard Hanna’s offices annual ‘Chow Chow’ dinner benefit for Children’s Hospital Free Care Fund. Like last year, I was pleased to be afforded an opportunity to donate a Washburn Boogie Street Custom guitar. This year’s guitar raised $750 dollars for the fund. I’m very proud to be associated with Howard Hanna Real Estate and the great agents and staff at our West Suburban office!

So…while showing homes I encountered this unique plumbing arrangement. Plumbing through ductwork. You don’t see that everyday. Nor – should we!
Uh…
