Joe Scappe

My heart is very heavy as I learn of the passing of Joe Scappe. Joe came into my life in 1990 when, as a 24 year old kid, I entered Coraopolis politics. Joe and his entire family supported me, educated me and believed in me when most everyone else would not. Joe was sometimes a father figure to me. Sometimes a wise uncle. Sometimes that critical but so ever honest friend. He was exceptionally strong willed and incredibly loyal. I learned countless life lessons from him and those lessons have served me so well as I’ve continued along my life. For more than 26 years, the Scappe family has been so very kind and loving to me and I’ll be forever humbled and eternally grateful. Selfishly, I yield to what has been a very difficult 12 months personally. And losing Joe is simply another blow. Rest in Peace, my dear friend. You left such a wonderful and loving impact on so many people. And thank you for choosing to include me in your life.

Open House

Deep into another successful and busy Open House! This time at my listing at 3101 Kestner Ave in Brentwood. I’m here until 4pm so stop by and see this wonderful 3 bedroom home! And yes – there are some cookies left although we had this cool 4 year old little dude named Max come and visit with his parents and he put a dent in the pile. LOL!

Under Agreement

And…we’re done. ‘Under Agreement!’ Sometimes it takes until 1:30am to hammer out a real estate deal. Tonight – it did. My Buyer has secured their dream house. Thanks to all involved. If your agent’s not willing to do what it takes to get you to your real estate goal – why not?

Choose Wisely

Quick tips when meeting with a Realtor to list your home:

1. Don’t let a Realtor dictate anything to you. Your home – you’re the boss.
2. Selling your home fast can be great. Leaving 10-15% of your home’s value on the bargaining table is NOT great. A fast sale only benefits you if you receive market value for your home.
3. Ask every and all questions of your Realtor. Demand great service!

Smile

Throughout my professional life, I’ve always done business with a smile. I believe that customers are valuable, great customers are very valuable and a customer who becomes a raving fan is – Priceless. So, when I continually hear some of my current clients and potential clients lament about their past difficulties with Realtors, I’m left bewildered. Every time. Whether it’s choosing a Realtor or any kind of professional, don’t tolerate poor service. From anyone. Ever.

Cassie!

I think Cassie Crouse just found the niche market of real estate child models!   I think.. She’s Hired!   She’s beyond cute!
